Is a car required?
No, you can enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Or perhaps take many of the beautiful walks in the area. If you wish to visit the beach, or site seeing a car would be needed.

I am not flexible, would yoga be suitable for me?
Yes, yoga is primarily a breathing exercise, it is not about flexibility, however, over time flexibility will improve

What will I get from a long weekend at The Retreat?
Everyone will go away with something which will vary from person to person.

Do I have to bring a yoga mat?
No. Good quality Ashtanga mats are provided, but if you have a personal preference you are welcome to bring your own.

What clothes will I need for yoga?
Lose and stretchy comfortable clothing. You are likely to get hot so a change of yoga clothes may be desirable.

What is included in the weekend break?
Full Ashtanga tuition for four days, accommodation for 3 nights/four days, brunch and dinner during your stay. Flights from Gatwick or other local airport (limited to Budget flights)

Where can I hire a car?
Cars can be hired from the airport on arrival, although you would be advised to pre-arrange car hire over the internet before you leave.

How far is the nearest town/village?
The nearest village is Comares, it is 3km uphill from the retreat, it can be walked cross country in approximately one hour. Valez-Malaga is the nearest large town and is approximately a 25 minute drive

I’ve recently had medical treatment, would yoga be suitable for me?
If you have any medical conditions you should obtain agreement from you GP or specialist.

I am pregnant, is yoga suitable for me?
There are some forms of yoga specifically suited to pregnancy which would be very beneficial, however we would advise against doing Ashtanga yoga during your pregnancy.
